Embark on a speedboat onward to Mekong Delta and capture a glimpse of Vietnam's diverse landscape, from gleaming skyscrapers and busy commercial centers to peaceful rural life along the riverbank.

While on board, you can enjoy a light breakfast, fresh tropical fruits and mineral water as well as take in the beauty of the natural surroundings and gaze at the tranquil waterway dotted with various boats, traditional village houses and lush vegetation. The tour guide will provide intriguing information about the daily life of local people along the riverside and the natural environment.

8:30AM, visit a local riverside market filled with seasonal fruits, vegetables, spices, seafood and other local specialties. Take some time to explore the market and soak up its bustling atmosphere before continuing your boat journey to the Mekong Delta.

9:30AM, approach a local pier to board a sampan boat for an excursion along a small and scenic canal lined with freshwater mangroves and water coconut palms. This provides an excellent opportunity to unwind and take in the sights and sounds of this picturesque water region.

10:00AM, take a leisurely bicycle ride along a serene countryside trail to witness the idyllic pace of daily life in the Mekong Delta and experience the warm hospitality of the locals. Along the way, explore a small village up close featuring rustic houses and bridges, gently flowing canals, lush plants, vibrant flowers, lively shrimp farms and vast paddy fields...

Stop en route to visit a local Cao Dai temple to discover its spectacular architectural styles and learn about one of the most enigmatic religions in Vietnam.

11:00AM, continue cycling to visit a historic Buddhist pagoda built in the 18th century with unique architecture that showcases Vietnam's rich cultural heritage and spiritual traditions.

11:30AM, say goodbye to Mekong Delta and get on a speedboat to head to a riverside restaurant at a picturesque village to enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch.

1:30PM, embark on a speedboat onward to Cu Chi Tunnels (Ben Dinh).

2:45PM, arrive at the Cu Chi Tunnels area after a one-hour and fifteen-minute speedboat ride, and take a leisurely stroll into the jungle to see the bomb craters, countless traps, secret entrances, fighting bunkers, air ventilation systems and constructed living areas.

For those who are interested, there is an opportunity to fire off an AK47, M16 or M60 with real bullets at the shooting range (bullets at your own cost). You can also see the lines used to make rice-wine and rice-paper (the skin for spring rolls).

The most exciting part of the tour is to try to go through a real underground tunnel, giving you a once-in-a-lifetime experience to feel like a real VC (Vietnamese Communist). However, if you are claustrophobic or have any concerns, you can skip it as it is entirely optional and only makes up a minor portion of the tour.

Afterwards, sample the steamed tapioca root which was the main staple food in Cu Chi during the war.

4:45PM, say goodbye to Cu Chi Tunnels and get on a speedboat to return to Saigon.

6:00PM, arrive back to the pier and be dropped off at your hotel.

The order of travel may be altered based on logistical arrangements, with the option of visiting either the Mekong Delta followed by the Cu Chi Tunnels, or vice versa.

If you are unable to cycle, please let us know in advance. We will arrange an appropriate alternative for you, such as riding on the back of a scooter or other suitable transportation, which may entail extra charges.
